The UC Berkeley History–Social Science Project (UCBHSSP) partners with K–12 educators to provide professional support designed to strengthen history instruction and develop students’ critical inquiry.
By connecting the past to students’ lives, communities, and current issues, UCBHSSP helps students analyze sources, ask meaningful questions, and build their own historical understandings. This evidence-based approach promotes reflection on identity, justice, and equity while fostering student agency.
