Project Co-Director Phyllis Goldsmith and Site Director Rachel B. Reinhard updated Access for All Learners. The second edition incporporates UCBHSSP's learning based on work with teachers over the past three years, with particular attention to the integration of historical thinking and approaches to planning and instruction based on California's newly adopted History-Social Science Framework(link is external).

The text addresses the methodology behind UCBHSSP's academic literacy approach to increasing student learning and includes new reading, writing, and thinking strategies.   

Teachers found the first edition of this text, in combination with a workshop series, helpful for reinforcing learning and serving as a ready reference.
