The second edition of Access for All Learners was updated in 2017. It incorporated UCBHSSP's learning up to that time, with particular attention to the integration of historical thinking and approaches to planning and instruction based on California's newly adopted History-Social Science Framework(link is external).
The text addresses the methodology behind UCBHSSP's academic literacy approach to increasing student learning and includes new reading, writing, and thinking strategies.
