Community Convening - Environmental Literacy in the H-SS Classroom

Join Bay Area history educators for the third of three community conversations about history teaching. UCBHSSP will facilitate a conversation and share models of how we can integrate environmental literacy into H-SS classrooms, and explore the question: How can we foster environmental literacy in a history classroom?

With the recent federal report on climate change and the articulation of a Blueprint of Environmental Literacy in the State of California, it has become imperative that history-social science teachers reflect on how our discipline can support student understanding of the human relationship to the natural world over time.

This program will take place from 9am-12pm in 370 Dwinelle Hall. Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided.
